Well as the world detonates with a bangless big bang collision. the ant implodes without hearing a thing while the dog only feels small tremors. the equalizers have done their job.
quick note- a you could send multiple instruments to one equalizer all with their own settings so you dont have cpu dissintigration.
another note- equalizers are last in mastering
but wait note- filters and compressors and the likes get the sounds you are looking for.
end note- I have a new track on my page/ took me 4 months to compose and 8 hours today just doing final mastering touches.
P.S. - that track doesn't use an equalizer only 50 patterns / 9 instruments / 40 FX channels/ and a person about to loose their mind.
What you say sounds interesting. I usually assign each instrument to its own mixer channel. My cpu is a beast so it doesn't matter much, but the technique sounds interesting. I'll contact you on aim if I won't get it to work.
Equalizers are LAST(??!!>:(--) in mastering? *BloodyN00b throws 90% of his tracks into the trash bin* =P
Filters are cool, you taught me how to use them, but compressors are beyond logic; they scare me (I fear they might be collaborating with a independent group of rogue extremist equalizers).
Sorry for not replying earlier, I've totally been forgetting to check my account pages lately. Which also means that your last note is no longer valid, but I still remember the track a little. You'll have to send it (or will I have to buy it?) =D
